Director of Operations


Location: Colombia & USA
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, some weekend hours required
Work Location: 50% location independent work, 50% regional travel in USA and Colombia. Ideally, candidate will be based in Colombia or relocated to Colombia. 

Start Date: June 15, 2022

Salary: Negotiable based on education, experience and location. 


Description: We are hiring a full-time International Director of Operations at Project Béisbol to help scale the organization to address the opportunities and challenges of the next ten years. The Director of Operations will be responsible for implementing strategic plans to achieve the organization's goals and objectives. He/she will oversee day-to-day operations in the USA and Colombia across operational, development and administrative functions. The Director of Operations must have strong communications, organizational, time management and planning skills, as well as exceptional proficiency (C2) in both English and Spanish. He/she will be expected to lead projects and help scale the organization to address the opportunities and challenges of the next ten years. 


Organizational Structure: Director of Operations will report to the Project Beisbol President, and work closely with the Administrative Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Community Relations Coordinators, and volunteers in Colombia and the United States.





  • Inventory management 

  • Baseball/softball operations 

  • Event management 

  • Mission planning


  • Fundraising

  • Donor, constituent, and institutional relations

  • CRM platform establishment and management


  • Operational and financial planning

  • Budget management 

  • Volunteer recruitment and relations

  • Translations (administrative and marketing related) 

  • Continuing education coordination 

Candidate Requirements

  • Undergraduate college degree

  • Three years of management or operations experience (minimum)

  • Exceptional proficiency (C2) in both English and Spanish

  • Excellent and verifiable organizational skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience and proficiency leading projects

  • Experience managing staff

  • Excellent ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships

  • Assertive and goal oriented

  • Proficient in G-Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint


Candidate Preferences 


  • Non-profit management experience

  • Fundraising and/or sales experience

  • Experience working in the USA

  • Experience working in Colombia 

  • College or professional baseball/softball playing experience

  • High school, college or professional coaching experience

  • Graduate degree or specialized certifications relevant to the position
